CARE International is a leading humanitarian aid organization founded in 1945, originally as the Cooperative for American Remittances to Europe. It was established in response to the devastation caused by World War II, with the primary aim of providing immediate relief and assistance to the affected European populations through the distribution of CARE Packages.

Today, CARE International has evolved into a global organization working in more than 90 countries to combat poverty, support long-term development projects, and provide emergency relief to communities affected by natural disasters or conflicts. The organization places a particular emphasis on empowering women and girls, as they are often disproportionately affected by poverty and discrimination.
