GIZ

GIZ, or Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, is a German development agency that provides services in the field of international development cooperation. As of my last training cut-off in September 2021, GIZ operates in more than 130 countries worldwide, working on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and other international clients.

In general, GIZ's goal is to help build sustainable and effective infrastructure in various fields like health, education, environment, governance, economic development, and more. They provide technical expertise, advisory services, capacity building, and practical solutions.

In Yemen, GIZ's work often involves providing immediate relief and long-term development aid, improving living conditions, promoting peace and governance, and supporting the rebuilding and development of social and economic infrastructure.

Projects include work on water supply and sanitation, food security, strengthening the health system, providing vocational training to improve job prospects, and contributing to conflict resolution and peace-building.
