About Us

The International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 2011 to help address the growing safety challenges faced by humanitarian aid workers in conflict-affected and insecure environments. INSO's primary mission is to provide support, information, and training to NGOs working in high-risk areas to enhance their situational awareness and improve their overall safety.

INSO achieves its mission through three core services:

  1. Capacity building: INSO provides tailored safety training programs to build the skills and knowledge of humanitarian workers, enabling them to operate more safely and effectively in complex environments. This training covers topics such as personal safety, first aid, and risk management.
  2. Information and analysis: INSO gathers, analyzes, and disseminates relevant safety information to NGOs operating in high-risk areas. This helps organizations make informed decisions about their operational security and enables them to respond quickly to changing security situations.
  3. Networking and coordination: INSO fosters collaboration and communication among humanitarian organizations, helping to build relationships, share best practices, and coordinate safety efforts.

INSO works in partnership with local and international NGOs, United Nations agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of humanitarian workers, allowing them to deliver essential services and assistance to those in need.
