About Us

MSF, or Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), is an international humanitarian medical non-governmental organization (NGO) that provides emergency medical aid to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. Founded in 1971 by a group of French doctors and journalists, MSF aims to deliver independent, impartial medical assistance to those in need, regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation.

The organization is made up of healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and midwives, as well as logistical support staff, who work together to provide medical care, conduct vaccination campaigns, perform surgery, and respond to medical emergencies in over 70 countries around the world. MSF's work is funded primarily through private donations from individuals and organizations, which allows it to maintain its independence and impartiality.

MSF has been recognized for its work and has received numerous awards, including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999.
