SFCG - Search For Common Ground

Search for Common Ground (SFCG) is an international non-profit organization that aims to transform the way the world deals with conflict, moving away from adversarial approaches towards cooperative solutions. It is one of the largest peacebuilding NGOs in the world.

The organization was founded in 1982 and operates in over 30 countries around the world. Its mission is to transform the way the world deals with conflict, away from adversarial approaches and toward collaborative problem-solving.

SFCG works with local partners to find culturally appropriate means to strengthen societies' capacity to deal with conflicts constructively: to understand the differences and act on the commonalities. This often involves initiatives like media and community outreach, youth programs, and leadership and diplomacy dialogues.

Search for Common Ground has been recognized for its efforts with several awards and nominations, including a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.
