About Us

The Yemen Red Crescent Society (YRCS) is a humanitarian organization that provides relief and support to those in need during times of conflict, natural disasters, and health emergencies in Yemen. It is a part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, which consists of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), and national societies in each country.

The YRCS works across a wide range of areas to help vulnerable communities. Some of their activities may include:

  1. Medical Assistance: The YRCS provides medical care and health services to those affected by conflict or disaster. This can include first aid, hospital care, and health promotion activities.
  2. Disaster Response and Preparedness: The YRCS helps communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. This can involve distributing relief supplies, providing shelter, and helping communities rebuild after a disaster.
  3. Promoting Humanitarian Principles and Values: The YRCS also works to promote the principles and values of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, such as humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality.
