Company Description
Our Client is an investment holding company based in Abu Dhabi, seeking to attract, and hire a C-suite to set up their new bank in Aden/Yemen. The three positions are CEO, COO and CFO.
CEO (Chief Executive Officer):
Vision and Strategy: The CEO is responsible for setting the overall vision and strategic direction of the investment bank. This includes defining the market positioning, target client segments, and long-term objectives.
Leadership: The CEO provides leadership to the management team and sets the tone for the organizational culture. They inspire and motivate employees to work towards common goals.
External Relations: The CEO represents the investment bank to external stakeholders such as regulators, government officials, investors, and the media. Building relationships and maintaining a positive reputation in the industry is critical.
Risk Management: While risk management is a shared responsibility, the CEO ultimately oversees the risk appetite and ensures that appropriate risk management practices are in place to safeguard the bank's interests.
Business Development: The CEO plays a key role in business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities, forging partnerships, and expanding the bank's client base.
COO (Chief Operating Officer):
Operations Management: The COO is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bank, ensuring that processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Infrastructure Development: This includes establishing the necessary infrastructure, systems, and technology platforms to support the bank's operations, such as trading systems, risk management tools, and compliance systems.
Regulatory Compliance: The COO ensures that the bank complies with all relevant regulatory requirements in the developing country, including licensing, reporting, and governance standards.
Human Resources: The COO oversees the human resources function, including recruitment, training, and performance management, to ensure that the bank has the right talent in place to execute its strategy.
Business Continuity: The COO develops and implements business continuity plans to mitigate operational risks and ensure that the bank can continue to operate smoothly in the event of disruptions.
CFO (Chief Financial Officer):
Financial Management: The CFO is responsible for managing the bank's finances, including budgeting, financial planning, and capital allocation.
Fundraising: In the early stages of setting up the bank, the CFO may be involved in raising capital from investors or securing financing from banks or other financial institutions.
Financial Reporting: The CFO oversees financial reporting processes, ensuring that accurate and timely financial information is provided to management, investors, and regulatory authorities.
Treasury Management: The CFO manages the bank's liquidity, cash flow, and investments to optimize returns while maintaining appropriate levels of risk.
Financial Risk Management: The CFO works closely with other executives to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks such as credit risk, market risk, and liquidity risk.
Overall, the CEO, COO, and CFO work together as a team to ensure the successful establishment and operation of the bank in Aden, with each executive bringing their expertise to the table in their respective areas of responsibility.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in banking, finance and investments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration is a plus
