Additionally, the team develops materials to highlight joint achievements, produces content to boost awareness and support fundraising campaigns, and provides top-tier marketing and communication services to meet client needs.
Role Description
Yemen Aid is seeking a Communication Specialist to support the Communication Manager in executing strategies that enhance a potential project client’s visibility and impact. Ideal candidates should possess a positive, can-do attitude, experience in creative content development and editing, proficiency in developing metrics, and strong digital marketing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating communication materials aligned with project strategies.
- Support the Communication Manager in social media content creation, scheduling, and community engagement.
- Monitor social media trends and audience engagement, providing feedback for strategy adjustments.
- Engage with the online community, addressing comments and maintaining a positive environment.
- Assist in managing paid search campaigns and media buying, including research and rate negotiations.
- Coordinate with partners to ensure media purchases align with strategic objectives.
- Act as a liaison between the Communication Manager and team members, ensuring smooth communication and task management.
- Assist in coordinating communication-related meetings, events, and logistical aspects.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining calendars.
- Organize and document communication activities, ensuring all records are up-to-date.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in communication or related fields.
- Proficiency in writing and content creation.
- Knowledge of communications, digital marketing and social media management.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Experience in nonprofit organizations is a plus.
- C2 level proficiency in English.
- High digital literacy and creativity.
A proven track record of successful projects and relevant work experience is essential.
