Project Coordinator | Search for Common Ground Organization (SFCG) - Yemen Jan 2020 – March 2023
• Engage in the project planning stage by reviewing the action and budget plan set for approved projects including the operational requirements.
• Manage the internal and external coordination with INGOs , local NGOs, MOPIC, Local Authorities, Executive Units, Military Forces, and other forums at the governorate level (including Aden, Lahj, Abyan and Taiz and its districts) to maintain the positive relationships and to advocate the peacebuilding activities across all project interventions of SFCG.
• Organize and run community meetings and workshops in a participatory and inclusive manner, to ensure that project activities are developed in consultation with communities. Conduct trainings as necessary.
• Actively manage the budget for field operations including the provision of regular budget projections for field costs.
• Improving the peacebuilding and Governance working with youth, IDPs, Marginalized, authorities, CSOs, local partners communities and community committees on level peacebuilding initiatives in Yemen and establishment of inclusive, fair and transparent governance systems.
• Gender, Peace, Security and working with local and national activists to address women’s safety and security concerns as well as looking at security provision for women and women’s role in peacebuilding.
• Community Peacebuilding, working with communities to mitigate the impact of conflict and improve local resilience, including through better local governance.
• Civil society strengthening and supporting local organizations initiatives to strengthen community cohesion and peacebuilding efforts.
• Lead the establishment of the community committee members at the governorate level in direct consultation with the local authorities to facilitate the program implementation which mainly focused on social cohesion, protection, WASH, food security and livelihood.
• Oversee the timely and quality submission of all deliverables to the senior management team, including monthly, quarterly and annual narrative progress reports, work plans, performance indicators, and regular results reporting as needed.

• Contribute to the implementation of outreach activities with local authorities and local partners at the governorate and district levels by carrying out frequent field visits to oversee the training intended to build the capacity building of the local partners, facilitators, and consultants.
• Establish relationship with commanders for planned trainings and seek opportunities for follow up assessment and new trainings.
• Provide input in program work, including activity planning and budgeting exercises relevant to activities implemented in the area of community engagement as required.
• Organize workshops/hearing sessions for community leaders and communities with security officials to discuss civilian protection issues in targeted districts.
• Build strong relations with local officials, community-based and civil society organizations and like-minded INGOs to support community engagement activities.
• Take the lead and responsibility for planning and implementing civilian protection activities including trainings, seminars, and follow up.

• Consult the LWSC and established community committee members in identifying the WASH community-based projects which can be implemented through the cash-for-work activities.
• Contribute to targeting and selection process of beneficiaries by registering the households who meet the eligibility criteria set beforehand in direct consultation with the established community committee members.
• Support the senior team in the procurement process as well as updating the weekly movement plan.
• Oversee the program implementation process by checking the progress made against description of community-based projects in addition to supervise the daily attendance of cash-for-work labors.
• Support the MEAL team to carry out the post distribution monitoring (PDM) to assess beneficiary satisfaction towards the completed community-based projects and the effectiveness of the cash-for-work activities.
